About me
Cynthia Olumba is a Research Fellow at Cranfield University who is leading Work Package 1 (co-selection and evaluation of nature-based solutions to land degradation on community-managed field plots) of the REAL NBS- Resilience in Eastern African Land: Nature-based Solutions- project.
Her research focuses on climate change adaptation and mitigation, gender equality, food security, sustainable land and forest management, sustainable consumption, and green technology. Her work is grounded in several philosophical paradigms, including post-positivism, constructivism, and critical realism. She is proficient in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, as well as innovative transdisciplinary research approaches aimed at tackling urgent societal and environmental issues. Cynthia has an extensive publication record and has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences and meetings.
Cynthia is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She has been a Teaching Assistant/Module Leader for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, teaching diverse groups of students in developed and developing countries.
