Early Career Networking Event: Growing in agri-food
Event Overview
Join us for a unique in-person event designed to foster long-term networking opportunities for anyone starting out, or transitioning to, a career in agri-food. This one-day workshop is an early career event, aimed at those working across industry, as well as academia.
Purpose
We warmly welcome diverse voices to our event and are looking to share the myriad of experience across agri-food. We’re looking to engage people working in food and farming across academia, industry and the third sector. We will select delegates ensure representation from multiple sectors.
Event Highlights
Theme: “How do you relate to people inside and outside your field?” A platform to explore interdisciplinary collaboration and practical discussions.
Poster Exhibition: Showcase your research, network with peers, and gain insights from others. Participants are encouraged to recycle posters from previous events. We also have printing support available at UWE.
Field Trips: Activities designed to provide a real-world backdrop to project applications and foster stronger networking bonds.
Structured Reflection: Engage in group feedback sessions to reflect on experiences and enhance networking outcomes.
Who Should Attend?
Early Career Researchers from the AFN Network+, LUNZ Hub, and TUKFS project.
Members of the AFN Network+ from other fields (such as industry, policy or the third sector) who are just starting their career in the agri-food sector.
Places are limited. We will be selecting delegates to ensure representation from multiple sectors.
