About me
Tom leads the group decarbonisation programme, our lifecycle assessment (LCA) work and a number of sustainability innovation projects. Before joining Hilton Foods in 2021, he ran his own consultancy specialising in improving public understanding of the carbon footprint of food and worked at Jaguar Land Rover, spending five years working on their first electric vehicle before developing the company’s net zero strategy as LCA specialist. He holds a MEng degree in Automotive Engineering & Sustainability from the University of Warwick and is a Chartered Engineer.
Tom is a member DEFRA Food Data Transparency Partnership Eco Working Group and serves on the review panel for the development of Marine Fish Product Environmental Footprinting Category Rules (PEFCR). In addition to his work with Hiton, he is Head of the UK’s Youth Delegation to G20 Brasil 2024 and an Associate at Oxford Net Zero.
